Dance Connection 2 is excited to introduce our newest program- eXcite Ballroom! eXcite is a ballroom program for beginning and intermediate students that would like to participate in a fun and challenging dance team. The eXcite program focuses on developing technical mastery, performance skills, positive team dynamics, and partnering. Members of eXcite will perform in the community, attend local competitions, participate in the DC2 production of Shrek the Musical, and dance in our annual recital.
The eXcite program provides an artistic, social, and athletic experience for students that will help them be productive community members. The character traits our students develop include confidence, poise, etiquette, respect, kindness, and sportsmanship. Partnering prepares students to interact and communicate positively and effectively with their partner and team members as well as fostering their ability to relate and interact with members of the opposite sex in a positive, respectful, healthy way.
EXcite Ballroom is directed by Shae Taylor. Shae is a youth ballroom specialist. She has over 20 years experience coaching youth ballroom competitors and teams. Her fun and quirky personality paired with her extensive ballroom background provide a positive and safe environment where her students can grow and thrive.
There are no auditions required to join eXcite Ballroom! Students age 8 to 18 are welcome. The team meets Tuesday evenings from 8pm to 9:30pm. Students must have a partner to enroll and must sign a commitment contract. Please call our front desk to enroll today!
